A poem depicting the life of a great luminary who continues to
inspire the world especially children . DR APJ . Abdul Kalam.
He has been a perpetual source of inspiration in the formative years of my life although I was never fortunate enough to meet him. Still I look at his autobiography when I face great challenges on my way.
He says once he met a saint and that meeting changed his destiny. It was not a magic but his advice was sufficient to unravel a truth that destiny has plans and our lives take a turn at some point against our wishes in order to fulfill the mission.
Sometimes in that journey we may feel the path is so lonely. Being a solitary crusader it might be hard to traverse the path.. But he achieved it.. Although that soul has left the Earth ,he continues to LIVE as the light on the path of millions of people..
The sands of a shore in a remote village,
the land of pilgrims
Tells a million stories...
The story of a shining star in the sky of science
The story of a little boy who loved flying
Resonates down the decades in the
sands of the Pilgrim City
In the vast sky of unlimited possibilities
still audible his footsteps away far away
taking us to new avenues of life
the invisible hands of a solitary crusader.
The man who taught us to dream
Dreams with open eyes
Dreams of endlessness
Dreams of hope
The descending sun on the horizon
The fading moon of the sky
The vanishing stars with day break
Never filled the soul with the dismay
of loss or end
Because he taught the millions
it is the beginning of a new Day.
Reminded the path to be traversed .
The enlightenment of destiny
he received now passing down the generations
the journey of a solitary crusader towards
knowledge
towards loving the mankind.
The perpetual source light
The eternal epitome of compassion
The solitary crusader who touched galaxies
The luminous star
who walked on sky of science and humanity
The lone traveler on the shore of knowledge
will live in the pages of history
in the minds of millions
in the eons to come ..
dedicated to the great scientist and philanthropist
honorable former president of INDIA.
